Kidney Cancer - Types and Treatments
Kidney cancer is a condition in which there is an abnormal growth in the kidney cells. Most of the kidney cancers appear in the lining of the tiny tubes (tubules) in the kidney and are known as renal cell carcinoma. Types of Kidney cancer There are several types of kidney cancer: Renal cell carcinoma: Renal cell carcinoma is also known as renal adenocarcinoma or renal cancer and is the most common type of kidney cancer. This type of cancer begins in the lining of the kidney tubules. Urothelial carcinoma: Urothelial carcinoma is also known as the transitional cell carcinoma that occurs in the bladder. This type of cacer spreads to the other body parts aggressively and these cancerous tumors are known as malignant tumors.
